The New York Daily news quipped that Taylor accepted her awards with the giddiness of a teenager, who didn't have a certain rapper there to interrupt her on stage.

Beyonce won the battle of the Grammy divas though, as she won six awards on the night. These included awards for "Halo", "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and "At Last". Beyonce also set a record for the first female to win six Grammys in one show. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga scored two awards for dance categories, presented prior to the televised Grammy awards show. Black Eyed Peas picked up three awards as did the all-male band, Kings of Leon.
